Moab Utah houses/condos for rent
We are going to be in Moab for three nights this summer. After over a week of lodges and motels, I was thinking of renting a house or condo in Moab that would be close to restaurants/bars/entertainment so that our late teen and early 20s boys could walk to things plus give us a bit more room. Does anyone have a suggestion of how to go about this? Is there a reliable real estate office that handles short-term rentals? Also, what about restaurant recommendations? There was one - maybe Buck's Grill- that sounded really interesting. We like just about any cuisine, although DH is not big on Thai or Japanese restaurants (although he always enjoys it when we drag him to one!).

My DW and I ate at two places in Moab. Jay's Pasta is overpriced for the meal you get. The best meal we had was at the Moab Diner. When we went in, we had to wait about 10 minutes for a booth. The great food made up for the wait.
If you want to pay $16+ for bison or Elk just to say you've eaten it, try Buck's Grill.
I do remember seeing some condos a block or 2 east of the main drag when I was walking around town. The ones overlooking town are higher priced. We stayed in Green River for a week and commuted to several parks.

Renting a condo is a great idea. I have had great luck with moabrents.com. Catherine Mattingly manages about a dozen condos and is a delight to deal with.
Best restaurants are Sinha (I know your friend doesn't like Thai) and Red Cliffs Lodge up the Colorado River.
But, rent the condo, go to Ye Olde Geezer butcher shop on south main, but some of the best beef you will find anywhere, and grill it at your condo.

Cloveridge - if all four of us gang up on DH we can occasionally get him to eat Thai - so we can hope. The diner we can probably count on, plus - if we do get a condo or house (checking them out now) - a dinner or two "at home" would nice.

I go down to Moab at least once a year and the BEST restaurant in town is the Desert Cafe, hands down. Expensive and worth it! Reservations a must.
I also like the Moab Diner, the Moab Brewery, Eddie McStiff's (locals kind of place). Personally, I didn't care at all for Buck's Grill.

Sorry to have been rather long in checking this - lots been going on. Thanks for all the suggestions for restaurants - I've taken notes. I was thinking Buck's because all of us like game of all sorts. However, I found a restaurant in Torrey that serves rattlesnake (free range no less!) and heard rumors of a restaurant on the semi-island maybe state park in the Great Salt Lake that serves buffalo?bison? burgers. Anybody heard of them? Maybe that would be a good alternative.
