Hi Joan,

Why cabins? Do you mean the little 1-room cabins often found at commercial campgrounds? There are a couple town in Moab that have them, but 10 may be the max.

There are lots of motels and some condos.

What type of group are we talking about? Family reunion? School kids?

I don't remember any cabins in Moab itself. You'll likely need to look at places outside the town. I suggest you google cabin rentals Moab.

There are also some privately owned cabins/lodges for rental on vrbo.com, but most of these are pretty far out of town and certainly no "complexes" of multiple cabins.

Thanks for the replies. We will have an adult group of geology students led by a retired park ranger (could need up to 10 cabins). This past year we stayed in modern cabins in the town of Tropic outside of Bryce Canyon NP. Everyone loved the privacy (no shared walls) and amenitie. How about a few recommendations for motels or ranches in the Moab area?

desertjoan,

Moab has the usual chain motels, Super 8, Motel 6, Quality Inns and a couple others. There is also a Best Western that is nicer than these.

Outside town, but a 30 minute drive along the river heading east, is the Red Cliffs Lodge. They have "cabins" that are pretty nice as I understand with porches and some have kitchens. But, again, it's a long drive (compared to in town) to the Natl Parks from there.

Google Moab Lodging and you will get more options.
