Mississippi Queen - formal dinner?

Help! We're going on a downriver cruise on the Mississippi Queen. I know there are "formal" dinners but how formal are they? We have gone on ocean cruises where women wear formal dresses and men tuxes or dark suits. Is it the same on the Mississippi Queen? How about regular dinners? My wife is in a panic!
