I may be going to Mississippi 2/18-2/21.
How's the weather generally during that time?
Also, are there any special events/festivals, etc.

Where in Mississippi? It's probably going to be pretty chilly, especially in the middle to northern part of the state. If you're on the Coast, the temperature just depends. Also, on the Coast, Mardi Gras is celebrated ear;y this year on Feb. 8. A lot of celebration will be going on for the couple of weeks leading up to that date.
Bring a coat, a light jacket, an umbrella, and some long sleeved shirts. But also bring a couple of short-sleeved shirts. You never know about the weather down here! I will most likely be chilly, and we will probably get some rain!
If you're coming to the Jacskon area, check the cvb website at www.visitjackson.com to see what's going on. They usually have a pretty comprehensive list.
