I have reservations at Dana Inn for several of their new rooms. Has anybody stayed there recently. We're looking to spend about $150 a night, any other hotel ideas?

This spring we stayed at the Ocean Park Inn (as recommended by someone on this site). Great location right on Pacific Beach. Rooms have coffemakers, fridges, microwaves. Rate includes free breakfast, free underground parking (hard to find in SD) and coffee and juice all day. Nice staff too. Nothing like being able to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean! We got a good rate through the SD visitors bureau www.sandiego.org. They seem to be under $150 for December...I also noticed the Dana Inn on their website for less that $150. Hope this helps!

Here is another vote for The Ocean Park Inn. This hotel is directly across from the ocean and your children will love walking right out to the beach and boardwalk. Try for a room on the second or third floor. Ocean view is worth the extra $'s. You will save on the breakfast, drinks and parking.
Go to www.tripadvisor and look at the reviews.
