We're going to a wedding the first weekend in August where guests will be staying in the downtown Courtyard Marriott. Afterward we will continue north to go camping so we will have our 25' travel trailer with us. The Marriott told us we can park it in the Grand Avenue parking structure for $15 a day. We thought of parking in a Walmart but since we'd unhook our truck to drive in to the wedding that wouldn't be very safe to leave the trailer there. We'd rather find a campground to park and stay in and just drive in to the wedding in the city. I think that's also the state fair so maybe this isn't even possible. Does anyone have suggestions of campgrounds or other parking ideas? Thanks so much in advance!

You are right about State Fair--it's Aug 2-12.
I believe that Jellystone (in Caledonia) has RV camp sites.
When we attend a wedding, I like staying where the other guests are, and the $15 parking rate seems pretty reasonable.
Hi - there isn't a Walmart close and the Grand Avenue parking structure fee is reasonable plus its nearby so you can check up on it regularly. The area could be a little sketch so I would recommend it. Jellystone is the closet official campground (not very close however) but the State Fairgrounds hosts RV's all year round so unless it changes during fair week I would check there first. Its closer than Jellystone - maybe 15-20 minutes west depending on traffic.
Sounds like Jellystone is a little too far so will check out the fair but maybe the hotel and extra parking is the way we'll need to go. Thanks for the help!
