Midtown NY Rental Apts/B&Bs under $200/night

Hi,

Some friends are going to NYC the last week of March for a week. Hotel prices seem quite high (even using priceline), so I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions for short-term apartment rentals or B&Bs in midtown (roughly from Grand Central up to the south end of Central Park). Any suggestions appreciated. Needs to have two beds to accommodate two people.

Thanks so much.

John H.

Have you tried finding accommodations on vrbo.com? There are several Manhattan listings.

I've noticed the Travel Inn hotel has some great prices for that time period. Not luxurious, but will do the job. http://www.thetravelinnhotel.com/

There's also a special on Affinia.com for the Beekman Tower hotel thru 3/31. There's a 'travel ticker promotion' for a studio suite for %150/night. Not sure whether this would yield 2 beds, but might be a bed and a sofabed.
