Messages at Grand Wailea

Hello-

I was entertaining the idea of doing a message at the Grand Wailea. Anyone know if using the spa facilities at the Grand Wailea allows you access to their pools afterward?

Also, if you had to choose between doing a message at the Grand Wailea on Maui or the Hyatt on Kauai, which one would you choose?

Lynne

Can't respond as to the Grand Wailea, but I can say that the spa at the Hyatt in Kauai is great. If you elect to do it at Hyatt, make sure you make a reservation early--we went to spa when we arrived to make reservations and they were almost booked up for the whole week already.

I always try to do at least one ocean side massage when we go to Hawaii, it is just so relaxing to hear the water and the warm Hawaii air feels so welcoming to the skin. When I booked my massage at the Anara Spa at the Hyatt Kauai, I was told it would be done outdoors. The masaage was actually in an open air room (no roof) that was part of the spa garden. I must say at first I was let down, but the massage was so professional and relaxing that I soon accepted my fate (poor me!!!) and just enjoyed. I would recommend Anara Spa just for it's tranquility alone, but the pink coconut cream is heavenly too! I have never been to Gand Wailea but I understand that the spa is also world class, lots of celebrities using it too. If I were you, I'd do both-then do a comparision post for all of us to drool over!

I had a facial at the Grand Wailea in May and it was wonderful. You get to use all their spa facilities before your treatment (soaking tubs, steam room, etc.). However, you do not get access to the pools with a spa purchase.
