Memphis Beale Street Area Pet Friendly Hotel?
We are traveling cross country with our dog and planning on stopping in Memphis for a couple of nights - see Graceland, walk around Beale Street, see the Peabody ducts, etc.
Can anyone suggest a budget friendly, pet friendly hotel in this area? We will have a car, but would prefer to walk as much as possible as I"m assuming parking is a pain. (Can take the car to Graceland, though, right?)

The Marriott Residence Inn in downtown Memphis is pet-friendly. We stay there frequently and absolutely love the hotel, the personnel, and the free breakfasts!
I'm not sure, though, whether it would fall into budget-friendly.
From downtown, you can (and should) take your car to Graceland. Aside from that, the other touristy places you want to see are downtown.

There is also a free shuttle service that runs between the Rock and Soul Museum (downtown), Graceland, and Sun Studio -- no need for a car to visit Graceland from downtown Memphis unless you want to use one.

travel, they're adjacent. Beale Street is IN downtown (at the edge), and is only a few blocks long. It's nothing like Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and is not really a "district", it's just 5 or 6 blocks of restaurants and music venues.
