Maui Dreams Come True - Rentals

Has anyone ever used or heard of Maui Dreams Come True? I found them on the internet and they rent out privately owned condos at the Papakea Resort. From the pictures on the internet they have really good views and great prices. Any info would be appreciated!

Mary,
Yes I know Maui Dreams Come True and Papakea very well. I will start by telling you Papakea has various quality room types. Each unit is individualy owned and each management company has different standards for keeping the unit up. As far as I know there are 4 or 5 rental companies at Papakea.

Right now the main managenet of Papakea is by Aston Resorts. This is one of their lower end properties. I do not know how Maui Dreams Come True keeps their units but they are a real company.

Hope this gave some assistance.

Papakea resort is inexpensive but is not air conditioned and is not nearly as fancy as many other Maui condos. The most luxurious condo I have stayed at on Maui is Kaanapali Alii, but of course it is much more expensive than Papakea. Be sure to rent a car, since Papkea is not withing walking distance of the big Kaanapali Beach hotels, shopping, resorts, etc.
There's lots of info about Maui sights, activities, restaurants, etc, at

I live at Papakea and I love it. It is situated on the ocean and I believe that most units are ocean view. There are two swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, BBQ's, ocean side lounging chairs, tennis courts, koi ponds and putting greens. All the units have lanais (Porch). The grounds are beautifully landscaped. A new shopping complex is opening across the street with a large grocery store, restaurants and dive shop. On Monday and Thursday mornings there is a fantastic farmers market a minute walk away. Although there is no beach directly infront of the property, the beach starts right next door and goes all the way down to Kaanapali Beach- a great walk! Although none of units have A/C it's not really needed since it the trade winds gently blow on this part of the island. If it does get really warm, we just open our windows and door and turn on the fan! If you have any questions regarding Papakea feel free to contact me. I've lived here for over a year and am seriously looking into buying a unit. There are studios, one bedrooms, one bedroom with loft and two bedroom units. There are many beautiful beaches close by and of course the night life of Lahaina a 10 minute drive away. The ocean view is BEAUTIFUL!!!
