Maui business as usual
In case anyone is worried about their upcoming trip, things are settling down quickly and getting back to normal in the islands. Pray for the people in Japan who have lost their loved ones and all their possessions, and are still in fear of further destruction.

So glad to see this post. I read something about 4 boats being damaged in Maleaea (I can't spell it) Harbor. We have stayed at least 10 times over 20 years at one of the condos on the bay there.
The last time, some 4 years or so ago, they had had so much beach erosion they were losing lawn almost back to the swimming pools in some cases.
I'm really wondering what kind of damage they may have had.

People listened, evacuated, and stayed away from the water's edge. Flooding was minimal when compared to the devastation seen in Japan. Someone said fish were flopping on Front Street in Lahaina. Here's this morning's front page of the Maui News.
