Maui
Planning a 2 day 1 night trip to Maui. This will be my first time going there. Planning to leave Oahu at the break of dawn and try to see as much of Maui. Need suggestions as to what can be seen in the two days. I have two full days.My flight back to Oahu isnt until 9 PM the next night. Also have a rental. Please advice on what Luau's, beaches, nightlife, hike's are a can't miss...Thank you.

Old Lahaina Luau, but if your trip is soon you may have missed out as they book up months in advance often.
Either do the West Maui trip or the Road to Hana. I almost think I'd do the WM one as it's not quite as long.
Breakfast at Napili's Gazebo (opens 7:30AM);Snorkle Honalu'a Bay if it's calm, then do the circle, stopping at various points of interest along the way.
Make sure you get shave ice at Auntie Ululani's, and if time permits, do the 'Ioa Valley & Needle.
That's pretty much a whole day's worth. But if you need something else, then of course, Haleakala!
Maybe try to make it to the winery as well or visit Pa'ia town for some souvenir shopping or a lunch at the Fishmarket there.
If that doesn't float your boat, go to the Black Rock in front of the Sheraton to snorkel or catch the torch lighting ceremony and rock diver. From there you can walk the boardwalk to Lelani's at Whaler's Wharf and have lunch looking out to Dig Me Beach do some people watching.

I would take a drive up to see the largest dormant volcano (Haleakala) and stay for sunset and stars. If you only have one night, driving all around the island (Hana and around) might be a bit much. Why not just find a great snorkel or boogie-board beach (in front of the Prince is good) and kick back? (And don't use apostrophes meant for conjunctions and possesive forms in plurals--hike's? bike's? Luau's?) I hope you enjoy!

As you are only on Maui 1 1/2 days, skip the luau.
Go to Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu. Much better.
If you do go to one on Maui, pick one with a fire knife dancer. Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt has the best fire knife dancer on Maui. Old Lahaina Luau does not have a fire knife dancer.
Road to Hana is my favorite on Maui. Seven Pools is really nice. Nice hike to a couple of waterfalls there. First one is only about 1/2 mile. 2nd one is about 2 miles.
Haleakala sunrise , Iao Valley & strolling Lahaina are also nice.
