Martha's Vineyard with the in-laws
Hello everyone
Could you suggest nice hotels in MV and where I can sneak away to get the best lobster rolls? Family is meeting in laws for the first time. Should be very very interesting. Thanks!

They are in Vineyard Haven but apparently we'll be going to Edgartown for dinner and another day in Oak Bluffs so doesn't really matter if it's walking distance. We'll be all over the place and will have a car. Thanks Ackislander.

Okay.
Edgartown is a very upscale town, a lot like Nantucket, and might be my choice if you can get a reservation. As I remember, there were lots of lodging possibilities.
Oak Bluffs is fascinating, lower key I would guess, and has the really wonderful Victorian cottage colony. It is a must visit, but I don't know about lodging.
I'm going to guess that having a car in Edgartown might be a handicap, so be sure to ask your hotel or guest house whether they have parking and how much it costs.
