Marriott Properties

Planning a summer '05 trip to San Francisco. Hoping to use Marriott points. Would like to stay at a centrally located hotel, doesn't need to be the best. A Courtyard or Fairfield Inn would be fine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Brenda, we used our Marriott rewards at the Ritz Carlton during our August 2003 trip to San Francisco. If my memory serves me, I believe we used 100,000 - 125,000 for five nights.

We stayed at the Marriot Fisherman's Wharf a couple years ago, and it was a nice hotel. It's located near FW and close to public transportation, so it was really convinient.

I believe there is also a Courtyard Fisherman's Wharf that is in a great centrally located place.

Do any of these Marriott properties include a complimentary breakfast ... even if that means just coffee and rolls? Thanks.

Usually only Springhill Suites and Residence Inns will serve a complimentary breakfast.

There's a Marriott right at Union Sq. I stayed there in August 04 via Priceline. Huge hotel without much personality, but the room was nice and service was decent. Location was perfect: 2 blocks from Union Sq, and 2 blocks from Powell St BART station (easy for us to take BART to SFO). No free breakfast though.
