Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas Bachelorette Weekend 8/27-8/29
Ok, I'm trying to plan a weekend for about 20-30 mid twentysomethings, as one of us is getting married. We already pretty much have events and laying out to tan filling up the weekend, although I do need to find a place for a lingerie shower saturday night (private room in one of the restaurants?).
My main question is how soon is too soon to reserve the rooms. We'll be needing 5-7 rooms - they don't have to be adjoining but would like them all to be in Mandalay. I can see the rate on the hotel website is not bad ($189 ish?). Would you wait for any better deals as the date approaches? Check any other websites? Or just reserve now and forget about it?

Have you tried "The Hotel" at Mandalay Bay? I just checked their rate and it's $269 for that weekend. Their rooms are suites, so maybe you would need less rooms, since you could fit more people in each. Also, a suite would be a good place for your shower if you didn't want to do it in a restaurant. The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay is fun--they might have a private room. You could stay afterward for the live music!

If you need five to seven rooms, you need to call the hotel and talk to the hotel manager. Websites are great, but you won't get the benefit of talking to someone who can really treat you right. And that should still be a VERY slow time so I would think you could score a rate of $129 per night at Mandalay, would be my guess. Good luck and have fun.
