Mama Kin Club (Boston) is Now Called?

Does anyone know the name of the old Mama Kin Club that was owned by Aerosmith. I believe it is located near Fenway Park.

Thanks.

Part of the old Mama Kin space is the Modern, part of it is Avalon.

Mama Kin closed somewhere around 1997. It became a new place called the Modern. The Music Hall of Mama Kin became the Lobby Entrance and restrooms for Avalon the large Concert Venue/Dance Club next door (Mama Kin, Avalon, and Axis were all connected and accessible from one club to another they were just seperated by doorways as Even though Mama Kin was an Aerosmith place, it was still owned by the people who owned Avalon, and Axis and they allowed Aerosmith to sign on with the concept and theme, and such.. they pretty much just leased the place to Aerosmith) After closing, the renovations took place. In 2007 Avalon and Axis shut down with plans to develop a new concert venue with 2000+ for a capacity with 3 levels of viewing and seating on the 3rd level. During the construction (which was delayed and past its projected completion) the owner decided to pull the plug on the project. The House of Blues, stepped in, continued the project and now lease the venue from the owners. What was originally 4 nightclubs is now one huge House of Blues concert hall, Restaurant and Foundation room which opened in 2009.

This is why I love this forum. Among all the Old Geezers (me) there is someone who knows the detailed history and current status of a whole group of shifting clubs in a very specific area.

I lived in Boston for 30 years, but I was the Club 47* generation and didn't know any of this information at all!

*Well, Peter Wolf generation, maybe.
