MaiTaiTom's 2015 Restaurant Of The Year Award: Union - Pasadena, CA

You know, it’s a tough job dining at some of the best restaurants in the Los Angeles area, but being gluttons for non-punishment Tracy and I, (along with numerous friends) visited a number of incredible dining establishments in 2015. Picking the best one was extremely tough this year, but one finally did rise just a bit above the others.

Union in Pasadena wins this year’s coveted MaiTaiTom Restaurant Of The Year Award. I will say I was surprised, because I felt the hype for this restaurant would make it impossible for it to live up to expectations, but it most certainly did. From appetizers to mains to dessert, this “Northern Italian menu with a California twist” captivated our taste buds with one “Wow” dish after another.

Buon Appetito!!

I trust you big guy but that lobster pasta does not photograph well. Looks like larvae or giant tropical cockroach casings. They should rename the dish bugs on bugs.

Thanks for the entertainment!

Thanks Tom, I have driven by here many times and haven't even
noticed it, now I have to try it!

Yes, I, too, was taken aback by the lobster pasta photo, pretty
funny.

It's actually Squid Ink pasta, but agree about the photo. I changed it to the chocolate dessert, but the Squid Ink pasta is delicious to eat.
