lunch places on way to Hoover Dam

We will be landing in Las Vegas around 10:30 in the morning and renting a car and driving to the Hoover Dam. Can anyone recommend some good eating places on our way to the Hoover Dam?

It is a short drive, maybe 45 minutes. You will go through Henderson which has a selection of casinos with restaurants and Boulder City which is a smallish town that has cafe looking places.

I have done this trip a couple of times but have never stopped for lunch.

We visited the historic Boulder Dam Hotel and watched the movie at the small artifacts museum there but didn't have lunch though they have a restaurant: http://www.boulderdamhotel.com/

Just down the road from the hotel/museum is a quaint little street with a number of cafes from which to choose. We chose one of those, but I can't recall the name of them. Several looked very nice.

Fiesta Henderson has a good buffet that's half the price of the strip buffets.

Sonic Burgers are here and there...if you've never had a coconut cream pie milkshake you gotta try one!!!

Most likely, you will be taking I-215 to get to the Dam. You might try Green Valley Ranch Station at I-215 and Green Valley Parkway. They have a super buffet although it's a bit pricier than some others.

Next door to Green Valley Ranch is a shopping area called The District. There is a P.F. Chang's, an Elephant Bar, Lucille's Barbecue, Al's Garage (burgers), and a seafood restaurant whose name escapes me. On the opposite side of the freeway is a Claim Jumper which has very good food.

The buffet at the Fiesta Henderson a few more miles down the road is also good as the previous poster pointed out.
