I'm not able to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Oahu like I had planned. So I'm trying to decide which luau would be a good alternative. I'll be in both Oahu and Maui in Feb. I know alot of people don't like them, but I just feel something you need to do while you are in Hawaii. Any suggestions would be great.

There are luau at many of the hotels on Oahu and Maui (you go on an island, in a city)... Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Hale Koa come to mind in Waikiki.
Across the isalnd, Paradise Cove and Germaines are both great luau, but a 40 minute drive or shuttle bus to get there from Waikiki.
On Maui, both Old Lahaina Luau and Feast of Lele are good.
On Maui, I've done Feast at Lele and I would highly recommend it. You get a private table, waiters, excellent and creative food and great entertainment.
We did the Old Lahaina Luau and really enjoyed it. That being said, I'm glad we did it, but I don't have any desire to do it again. Feast of Lele always gets good reviews too.
We enjoyed the Feast at Lele so much that we've done it 3 times.
PCC has a twilight package which included the Ali'i Luau & the evening show. You can't get in before 4pm with that package.
If you can't go to PCC, then choose one on Maui, simply because there is not as much nightlife on Maui.
Drums of the Pacific is good. Feast at Lele is good, but expensive.
