We have driven the Cody to Greybull to Sheridan route before on the way to Rapid City and was well pleased. We will be driving this same area again in July this year and are looking at taking Rte 14 north from Cody to Lovell to Sheridan. Is an overnight stop at Lovell to visit the Bighorn Canyon N.A. worthwhile and if so, any recommendations for hotels in Lovell would be appreciated, as well as any good places to eat the evening we arrive. Any recommendations for scenic sights going through the Bighorn mountains would also be appreciated. Being part Cherokee, I will stop at the Medicine Wheel location. The last time through the Bighorns we probably passed several scenic locations, but I was a little busy looking out for the free ranging cattle.
Thanks
Lovell/Bighorn Canyon N.A.

Thanks, I,ll make the Big Horn Recreation Area half day trip from Cody instead, and stick to the Cody to Greybull, Sheridan route. This was a very scenic route in late Sept. The mid July summer scenry should be excellent as well and maybe I/ll not pay as much attention to free ranging cattle once I get into the mountains.
