Hello. Wondering if there are any good new restaurants in Louisville, KY. I was sorry to hear that Dietrich's recently closed (not to mention the classic lunch spot J.P. Kayrouz).
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

As we were traveling thru Louisville, we drove by the river and had lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. Although a chain, the food was good and being a warm pleasant day we ate on the outside patio overlooking the river and the boats traveling on it.
Thanks for the suggestion, but Joe's is not new and unfortunately has an near unanimous awful reputation. Sounds like you got lucky.

There is a new steak restaurant in the Summit shopping center. The name escapes me, but my daughter and SIL went there for their anniversary recently and enjoyed it. Fairly expensive but cheaper than Ruth's Chris.
Thanks . . . I'll be near the Summit at some point & will check it out.
As far as "chain Seafood" in Louisville, the best one (and it doesn't feel like a chain) is the Mitchell's Fish Market in the Summit Shopping Center on the Gene Snyder.

BTW..Your're right...Joe's Crab Shack is a horrible place...if I want to eat mediocire seafood with crazy people yelling at me...I'll go to an insane asylum and eat a tuna fish sandwich
Today's paper had a review for a new restaurant called Limestone to open next Monday off North Hurstbourne Lane. The owners are two former chefs from the Seelbach Hotel. Sounded great, and the prices didn't look astronomical.
