Los Abrigados Sedona Arizona
I have the chance to book this timeshare for November The Yelp reviews are not so great. I would stay a week. I obviously must choose a timeshare property so it is restrictive. Most say the location is good, but the rooms are dated. Has anyone been here recently? My dates would be 14 Nov-21 November. Thanks.

We were there in May. We have a timeshare and, of the 4 Diamond Resorts properties in Sedona, Los Abrigados is the one we prefer -- by a large margin. We lover the location and the amenities. We have been going there, except for a few times when 2 BRs were not available, since around 2006
We have not found the rooms to be dated. Since DR took over the property a few years ago, they have been refurbishing the rooms / condos. Some of the condos do show some wear, but I would not at all call them "dated".

Daytime temperatures should be mid-60's to mid-70's. On a sunny day, if there isn't wind, it should be comfortable around the pool. It does cool off rapidly as sunset nears, and lows will probably be in the mid-40's.
Having said that, it seems we get a cold snap in November, right around Thanksgiving, just something to keep in mind. Here is a chart showing daily normal temperatures as well as the record highs and lows.

We were there before the refurbs started, I think (2009), but thought it was a nice place even then. It is in a great location, right there at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. http://www.tlaq.com/
The rooms were pretty 70ish at the time in decor, but not shabby. There is a restaurant there that we ate at several times as well.
Will always remember our stay - we were just pulling into the parking lot one fateful afternoon during a storm, and that's when that freaky flash flood swept through the parking lot, carrying away cars, as well as through that beautiful market. Had we been a few seconds earlier, we would have been caught in it. (Some pics here https://www.google.com/search?q=sedo...w=1311&bih=575)

sludwick, thanks for sharing the pictures. My goodness that must have been terrible to watch. I am thankful you were not part of the cars being carried away. If it is much cooler that time of year that is probably why there is an availability at the timeshare resort. 14-21 November is a few days away from Thanksgiving. Not sure about going there at that time. I am undecided. The next available time would be May.

Yes, terrible for those caught in that flood. It was so fast, people were trapped inside buildings with waters almost to the ceiling, cars washing down the creek, just horrible.
The Plaza had (has still, I am sure) some wonderful bronze statuary. Some we saw carried off by the waters, hopefully they recovered them.
Whichever date you choose, have a wonderful time!

Diann,
May is my second favorite month to be in Sedona (October is my first choice). But if we can't go in October, we always try to book in early-to-mid May.
Yes, Tlaquepaque still has statuary all over.

Just stayed there for two weeks in March. We asked for a renovated condo but there were none available. I was a little nervous because I'm particular but we were pleasantly surprised. The condo was clean and the bed was super comfortable. You can't beat the location in Sedona. Although you need a car anywhere in sedona, Los Abrigados was close to walk to many restaurants plus you're right at Tlaquepaque with fun shops and restaurants. Diamond has done a nice job in bringing this property back to life.
