Looking for suggestions for long weekend in February in Western US

I'd like suggestions for a long weekend in the Western U.S.for late Feb. Don't like snow but cold weather is ok. Coming from Phoenix and want destination I can fly to in under three hours. Any ideas?

Is Seattle 3 hours away? I don't know the flight time but I love Seattle. With the market downtown, awesome restraunts, aquarium, museums and great shopping this is a great place for a long weekend.

How about northern California? The coast north of San Francisco--Point Reyes to Mendocino may be a good trip. It would be cold, but you said you would't mind cold weather. This is a lovely area and I think you'd enjoy it. The little town of Elk is quite beautiful and the Elk Cove Inn is a lovely place to stay. www.elkcoveinn.com
Gualala is south of Elk and is nice and has accomodations at all different prices. Have a nice trip.

Portland is approximately a 3 hour flight from Phoenix. It's an easy city to get around and offers plenty to do. There are plenty of things to see in the city. And if you enjoy wine tastings, there are some very good wineries to visit out in the countryside.

Las Vegas is another option for a long weekend within a short flight.

Nothin could be finer than a long weekend in San Diego. You could spend almost 1 day alone at the zoo and Balboa Park. Then up to Disneyland but do that on Monday preferably. The winter hours are shorter there but lines are very short. Then there's Universal Studios. You don't mention having children so if you don't have any you may want to visit the Holocaust Museum in the LA area. You could just go to LA and do whatever you want for a long weekend.

I've done all of this myself and enjoy the coast but wouldn't want to live there.
