looking for place to stay in Seattle for family of five

We will be visiting Seattle this summer and we need to find a suite or adjoining rooms for our family of five. What is a great, centrally located hotel that has suitable lodging for a family? The kids will be 11, 14 and 17. We would love a place with a view. We are only staying a couple of nights before we head to Alaska, so renting an apartment is not likely an option. Thanks.

The Westin, Inn at the Market, and the Edgewater have rooms with views. My choice would be Hilton's Homewood Suites at 1011 Pike Street.

Agree that the Homewood Suites on Pike would be a great choice for a family of 5 if you want to be in one suite. They have some one bedroom corner suites with a view of downtown and the Space Needle.

If money is no object, connecting bay view rooms at the new Four Seasons would be fabulous.

I'd also look at the Residence Inn on Lake Union. Views of the float planes on the lake opposite, and they have various "suite" accommodations. Trolley to downtown in front of the hotel.

I would also agree with the Homewood Suites on Pike Street. They are my favorite when it comes to a great family hotel. You get a very comfortable suite with plenty of room for everyone, breakfast is included and its a great bargain for your money.

I highly, highly, highly recommend The Alexis Hotel. It's a few blocks from Pikes Place Market. (we walked there about every morning for breakfast). They have large suites that will accommodate families (we stayed there with 2 toddlers). And it's more than just another hotel suite. The rooms themselves are very tastefully done and sort of inspired by the Art Museum across the street. Has your trip already happened? If anyone is looking for a cheap but good centrally located place in Seattle, check out the HI Hostel formerly known as the American Hotel.
