Looking for a nice place to stay in or near Murells Inlet, SC
We will be spending 3 days visiting friends in Murells Inlet next April. Looking a nice quiet place to stay near the ocean if possible. Don't want to be near Myrtle Beach - too noisy. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Dawn & Peter -
My Parents and elderly Aunties retired in MI recently and I've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Litchfield/Pawleys Island twice and loved it. Very quiet and low key, free breakfast every morning too! Everyone is so friendly. The unexpected thrill was the dozens of little turtles in the lake in front of the hotel. You have to see that - bring some saltines!

Huntington Beach is literally up the street. You can buy a day pass if you like - beautiful uncrowded beach.
Hope this helps! Going back next month. Thanks.

We have had friends who also stayed at the Hampton Inn, and it is indeed nice.
It is across the street from the Litchfield resort I recommended so both are very easy.
But I would just say that it really IS nice to stay ON the beach, and for that I might just push for the Litchfield Inn to be able to walk out on the beach to the ocean.

I really like the Hampton Inn Oceanfront -

It says "Myrtle Beach" but it's at the very far southern end and not anywhere near the MB craziness. It's 11 miles to Murrels Inlet.
