Hi, we are looking for an outdoor vacation destination for a week in early Nov. We enjoy mild hiking, mountains, sightseeing and the beaches. Nothing too strenous. It needs to be within 3-4 hrs of the Atlanta area. We have already been to Destin, Gulf Shores, Gatlinburg, Ashville and Savannah. I would appreciate any suggestions from the forum crowd.
Thanks

Brevard, NC
Cumberland Island, GA - if you like to camp and/or have the budget for the Greyfield Inn
Just a quick followup - we were considering Chattanooga, Nashville, Tampa and Hot Springs. Though we are going to eliminate Hot Springs because I have read several posts regarding Hot Springs that it is not worth the trip.
Thanks again.

Tampa and Hot Springs?
Starrs - you are correct. We were branching out a little further for Hot Springs or Tampa.
Go to Acadia NP.
The Georgia coast offers plenty of eco friendly travel and adventure. Kayak the Altamaha River, explore Sapelo Island, discover quaint historic small towns along Georgia's Colonial Coast. Stay centrally along the coast and make day trips from one area of the coast to another without driving more than 45 minutes to anything.
