Is there more to do in Minneapolis or St. Paul and where are the better hotels? We will be going in October 13 to the 16. Which area is the nicest to stay in and most to see the city sites? We are in the mid 20's look for fun thing to do over the weekend. We also like to take pictures and go shopping. Please let us know what would be better for us.
thanks

Minneapolis has much more to do..
Stay near Block E. This is where all the nightclubs and shopping are.
Might try the Marriott City Center.
We recently had a bachlorette party there and were able to walk to all the downtown hot spots..
In your 20's! You young things will definately want to be in Minneapolis!! The Block E suggestion is good; if $$ is a factor, you can stay near Mall of America and take the light rail into the city for your fun. Chino Latino's is a fun night spot. There are lots of clubs. First Avenue and Quest are popular with my 20 year old daughter. The Walker Art Center has modern art, a fun gift shop and a a great outdoor sculpture garden. It is fun to pub crawl along Nicollet Mall. The city lakes (Calhoun, Harriet, Isles) are good for walking, biking, paddling or roller blading. I like the Stone Arch Bridge area of the Mississippi for history and sightseeing; there is a lock & dam there as well. Have fun!!
New architecture to see: Walker (previously mentioned) Minneapolis Public Library (near Block E) and the new Guthrie theater (near Stone Arch Bridge)
