Last year I flew to Minneapolis on a Saturday in Dec. to shop at the Mall of America. Was thinking of doing the same this year. Can anyone tell me what the security lines are like at the Minneapolis airport? It's hardly worth it to fly up and back in a day, and have to wait in lines for 2 hours.
Thanks.
Long lines at Minneapolis Airport?

We flew from MSP to SFO last week (Tuesday, middle the day) and experienced no delays through the security line, in fact, we walked right through.
Earlier in November we went to SLC and the lines were longer but all in all we waited only 15 minutes. At that time only two of the four security aisles were open as well.
Best.
We live in a suburb of Minneapolis and have flown out of the airport atleast a half dozen times since 9/11. Even a flight to Europe. We had literally a max of 10 minutes wait in a line for the security check. I just flew in from Dulles,VA. on Sun. and not much difference even there. The only place we have found to be highly increased security and thus longer waits was...Frankfurt. We had to pass thru 3 xray devices and be individually searched with a hand held wand. This was in early Nov....The MOA is very quiet for this time of year. I was there today and there is definitely a decrease in the amount of shoppers, esp. with Christmas coming. So...come and enjoy all the sales they are having.....
Thanks. I just booked my ticket for Saturday. Time to shop 'til ya drop!
