Hi Linda - I've stayed at two motels in the Dells.
1) The Camelot - very reasonably priced, although we were there in the winter. I think their prices spike up in the summertime. Clean, quiet, pools & water activities on site, but not a "waterpark." Nice location.
2) River Road Motel - we stayed here when we went to the Dells in the summertime. It was...okay. Clean, but an older property. Perhaps we weren't in one of the nicer rooms? They did have a great location, right downtown.
There are a lot of Wis Dells websites, but this one is my favorite:
http://www.wisdells.com/visitor/accommodations.htm
It also has a price list for 2002 that you can download (w/Adobe Acrobat) that will give you current pricing. Keep in mind, in the summer time many places require a two night stay.
Good luck!
Hi Tonia.....Thanks for your reply. We're only going to be there one night (a Saturday) and have seen many of the "two night minimum" sites. Oh, well! I'll check out the Camelot and River Road Motel.
