Lodging in Sedona, South Rim GC & Canyon de Chelly

Can anyone give me suggestions for great lodging in these locations? Something suitable for a family with 2 boys who are 10 & 13 please. Thank you.

OK, I've gotten the GC taken care of but could really use some help in the Canyon de Chelly and Sedona area. Anybody?

In Sedona we (also w/ 2 kids same age) stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge. Very reasonable, very pleasant place with great views. On the south rim we stayed at Kachina Lodge, primarily because it was the only place right on the rim that was available but it worked out perfectly fine. Other choices are Bright Angel and El Tovar (the nicest of the 3).

There is a Holiday Inn with a pool in Sedona and I believe the Best Western has a rate that includes a Pink Jeep Tour.

In or near Canyon de Chelly there are three motels.

A Best Western and Holiday Inn just outside the park in Chinle, AZ. The Thunderbird Lodge is in the park.

We always camp so I don't know which one would be best. Do your boys like to camp? If so bring their tent and sleeping bags and the Canyon de Chelly campground is right next to the campground and they could camp while you stayed at the lodge. The campground is free.

I hope you plan on taking the guided jeep trip into Canyon de Chelly. It was really educational and fun.
