Lodging in Portsmouth, NH

Jump to last reply

I'm planning a long weekend in Portsmouth, NH and have been checking the lodging options online. It looks like there are a number of nice options. I generally prefer a hotel to a small bed and breakfast and I'd really like a view of the water. I'd also like to be able to walk to a number of restaurants and just to explore the city. The Sheraton looks like it's near the water and some of the reviews mention a view), but the other hotels appear to be a lit bit further in and I can't really tell.

Any suggestions? I'm taking this trip by myself and I'd really like a safe, convenient place with a nice view rather than something romantic. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
