We have two families going to Door County and would like to stay all together if possible. We are only going for 4 nights and most cottages only rent weekly. We really like the Fish Creek area because it is a good location if we want to walk around town or to the beach, etc. I was looking at Evergreen Hill Condos and the Hilltop Inn. Does anyone have an opinion on these or any other place that would be nice?

I have been to Door County numerous times. When are you thinking of going there? Things fill up pretty fast and can be pricey in Peek Season (after Memorial Day- Mid October).
I have camped at Peninsula State Park which is between Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. It is very nice and there are beautiful trails to hike or bike on. There are bike trails that go into Fish Creek.
As for cottages, I haven't stayed at one since I was in high school over ten years ago. You may have luck checking out the door county website at www.doorcounty.com.
There are some nice hotels in the area. The Birchwood lodge is very nice in SIster Bay. They have a pool there for the kids.
Have fun!
I;ve stayed at Homestead Suites several times, the last about four years ago. I believe it is the sister property to Evergreen Hill. The location is fantastic - a short walk to town and just a few steps to the bike rental and entrance to Peninsula Park. I prefer the suites to the condos because the first has an indoor pool, and Door County hasn't got much to do for kids in rainy weather.
I've stayed in Door County many times and love it! Try going to http://www.door-county.com for places to stay and other stuff. I've found it very helpful!
