I grew up in Bigfork and the Averill's (Iwent to school with them) owned a lodge on Flathead Lake, not Whitefish Lake.
Back then, it was pretty rustic but they have really turned it into quite the place from what I see on the internet.
Perhaps in the years since I left, they have built a lodge on Whitefish Lake as well?

Tyler, I talked to some friends who have property in Whitefish and they haven't seen it. But heard it was going to be spectacular.
The website is all artist's drawings so far but......I will say this.
The Averill's have been in the hospitality business for several generations now and they are very nice people who know what the public want and are charging a premium price tag to deliver and from what I understand, they do.
I also understand that Doug Averil runs the Flathead Lake Lodge and he well may run this one as well.
One thing I couldn't find on their website was the rates but prepare to pay a lot. Whitefish has gotten very expensive.
Still, if you have the cash, I doubt that anything the Averil's run would be disappointing.

Here are the prices we were quoted for the OFF-SEASON (after Sept 6) this year, which is when we'll be in that area. I requested a brochure which is supposed to have photos, not the artists' renditions.
Deluxe Suites feature either two queen size beds or one king size bed, fireplace, balcony, mini frig and wet bar. Those without lake views rent for $135.00 plus tax per night. The units with lake views rent for $155.00 plus tax per night, and the units with lake front views rent for $205.00 plus tax per night.
One bedroom suites also feature either one queen or one king size bed in the bedroom, fireplace, balcony and a full kitchen. Those without lake views rent for $185.00 plus tax per night. The units with lake views rent for $205.00 plus tax per night, and the units with lake front views rent for $255.00 plus tax per night.
Two bedroom units (of which there are only a couple): One has two king size beds, and the other has a king and a queen. They both feature a fireplace, balcony and a full kitchen. The rate on this type of unit is $250.00 plus tax per night, and with a lake front view, the rate would be $320.00 plus tax per night.
Michelle, at the Lodge, has been helpful--try giving her a call if you would like more information.

Hi, Tyler. I got the brochure in the mail today . . . it's the same artist renditions as are posted on their website. It doesn't include rates, either. Sorry! This lack of information on their website and on their brochures makes them seem very unorganized for tourists wanting to visit the area, so I am having my doubts. I hope you have better success!

I was also looking at the Lodge at Whitefish. I found more than one web site. Perhaps you didn't see this one with accomodation rates and pictures.
