Local Weather help and cold weather gear

Jump to last reply

We leave Friday and I have held off on booking a food tour and 9/11 Memorial tickets because of being outside for both. I checked Weather Underground last night and then checked weather.com today and they vary widely! For example, yesterday had highs in the 40's lows in the 30's for most of next week and now the temps are lower and there is a chance of snow 3 days. Yesterday, Feb 13th was 0% of rain/snow and today it is 60% snow.
What is a good local website to go to and what is the local forecast TV stations predicting?
Also, is there cold weather gear still in the stores? We are coming from New Orleans and bringing what we have but we will need to buy some things if it snows, like boots and waterproof gloves. We have boots (Uggs) but I doubt that would be okay for snow but not sure.
Thanks.
