Live theater in the PNW/BC in October?

I figure there's got to be someone here more plugged into the live theater scene than me. Any live plays or musicals in the PNW in October? Now is the time to talk up your regional theater!

I would be willing to go to BC, but honestly I'm hoping for Oregon or Washington. Taking an acting class for fun this full and the only written assignment is a play review. Can't be a high school production, sadly. October appears to be a weird shoulder month locally- not much up that I am seeing!

On the bright side...my winter/spring list is looking quite good

Oh, just realized that may not be "travel-y" enough. So let me reword this. I would love to take a weekend trip to a beautiful PNW town and see a live theater production while I am there. Anytime in October and food/lodging recs are always welcome

Seattle is full of live plays in Oct. in many major theaters downtown and many more excellent small professional theaters strewn around the city.

At big stages:

Man of La Mancha is on at the 5th Ave. Theater downtown Oct 7-13

"Beautiful Carole King Musical" is on Oct 19-25 at the Paramount downtown

"A Raisin in the Sun" is on Sep 30-Oct 30 at the Seattle Rep

"Power: From the Mouths of the Occupied" : at the Intiman, Oct 20-21 http://www.intiman.org/

One of the best lists is at https://www.thestranger.com/events/performance

One of the great neighborhood theaters woth professional sats, very small, maybe about 5 rows grouped around a small stage is The Seattle Public Theater at the Bathouse (in the Greenlake neighbohood) "On Clover Road", Sep 29-Oct 16 . http://www.seattlepublictheater.org/

Completely embarrassed to realize I hadn't thought of the stranger, elbegewa. Sure enough, bingo! TMP is putting on the Addams Family. Perfect way to get into the holiday spirit thanks!

Janisj- yep, Ashland was my first thought. But the drive would kill too much of my weekend.

Unfortunately I'm not seeing any live theater on their schedule but the Capitol steps looks most excellent! Thanks Tomfuller!

Actually, I was just thinking about you last night. Have you ridden the empire builder or southwest chief lately? I was wondering how late they've been running for the sake of booking hotels. I am gripped by a strange desire to ride a train cross country to Chicago, although I'm sure that will pass

I also was coming to link you up to The Stranger... online or in print (free weekly) it is the single best source for your finger on the pulse of *everything* going on around Seattle.
