Hi
I am currently living in England. I am back packing around Asia, NZ, South America from August till May2012.
I have to return back to the UK for 3 months. I then would love to work voluntary or paid in USA. Also Travel across the country too for at least a couple of years.
I am at the beginning of planning this adventure I would apprreicate any comments or suggestions where to start looking for work. I would like to work with children in sport!!! I have been told that America have work camps but however this only lasts for a summer!!! I am looking at doing this for long period of time!!! Does anyone know any websites to start my research? Also which states are the most inviting to visit?? Im not looking for well paid, just as accomendation and food are supplied be more than happy.
Your replies and comments would be very appreciated
Regards
John

I think that the first step would be to investigate how you get a US work visa.
You are going to need the appropriate visa. Take a look at the official U.S. State Department site for information on which visa you will need to apply for: http://travel.state.gov/visa/
You may find it easiest to be a student and explore between terms. We have relatively few of the short term work exerience visas that at least formerly were available in the UK/Europe.
Thanks for your help guys
Unless you have some very specific and rare work experience for a job that can;t be filled by a US citizen (and our unemployment rate is huge) your realistic options are:
tourist visa - short term and no working allowed
student visa - you have to be matriculated at a legitimate school
Getting any other sort of visa is practically impossible.
Just coming to live and work is highly illegal - and you won;t be allowed into the country or be able to get a job once here. The first thing employers ask for is eithr proff you're a citizen or have a green card. The only jobs possible are cash under the table - bus boy or similar - and the pay is practically nothing.
