Little Bighorn, beartooth, Yellowstone, Tetons, Jackson hole, Cody

In the beginning stages of planning our trip to Montana/Wyoming. Looking for guidance, suggestions to help put it together. Our main interests are little big horn, beartooth highway, Yellowstone, Tetons, Jackson hole and Cody. How does putting this together, routewise make the most sense? What are things to think of as must dos and don't miss along the way, i.e., rodeos, reservations, sights, stops between driving points. Would it be too much to try and add glacier to this trip? Seems that flying in and out of billings may make the most sense, or is there a better option. Thanks in advance for your input/advice

We are planning on going sept timeframe. We want to head out to the area before all the things close down for the season. Time wise, we are flexible. 1-2 weeks

You'll need at least two weeks for this trip.

The first thing you should do is check for lodging reservations in or near the parks. Chances are in the parks is all booked up, but you could make a reservation outside that could be cancelled and then call back for in the park because they get cancellations often. The route you take might be dictated by when you can get lodging.

Yellowstone is very big, so I would want 3 days there, more if possible. A day on Beartooth, 2 or 3 days for Grand Teton.

Add in your other sites and time to get from place to place.

Is one way on the beartooth better than the other?
Any must not miss sights, events or things to do in Montana, Wyoming surrounding area that would influence a date change? I.e., not that w e are going to South Dakota or New Mexico, but example - Buffalo roundup in Custer state park, balloon fest in Albuquerque
