Litchfield, South Carolina? You need to be more specific so people can give you better advice.
If you're talking about SC--which I think you are since you're going in October--I am extremely familiar with the area since my family has a house there.
My suggestion would be to visit www.litchfieldbythesea.com and rent a condo or villa through them. Litchfield-by-the-Sea is very upscale and all the developments have pools. You will not be disappointed.
Or do you mean Litchfield, CT? When you select a state "board" here, it really does not exist unless a searcher selects only that state to read - otherwise it gets dumped in general US board.
Can't help with hotel - but when you find one, call hotel directly and make sure babies are allowed in pool. Recently I have been seeing signs at some hotel pools prohibiting babies in diapers (or without but of diaper age) in pools for sanitary reasons.
We have a place at Litchfield and agree with contacting Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort. They have many different types of rentals. While our pool did say no diapers, the baby pool was drained (at our particular building--there are numbers of pools and buildings) and no one said anything about the little ones in the pool.
