Liberty Helicopters NYC. Which is the best tour?

Hello again, I see that Liberty helicopters have a choice of short tours. Does anyone know which is the best value for money? Thanks

I did the NYNY tour a few years back and it was great. You go down the Hudson, eventually cross over the Park and up to Yanee Stadium. It was advertised as the only tour that took in all boroughs.

I'm not sure I would recommend any of the helicopter tours, several have ended up in the East River the last couple of years.

If you are flying into LaGuardia, you will get much the same tour, and won't have to pay extra.

Most of the landing patterns come up the west side, so you get breathtaking views of The State of Liberty, Manhattan, Central Park, New Jersey, Hudson River and it turns right about 110th St. to head to the airport. You actually fly over Staten Island, Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens and land in Brooklyn. I think day flights in are spectacular views of the city.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. We are flying into JFK, so won't be getting the views. We have been offered a tour as a present, but can chose the one we want to do. Do they really land in the river??

There have been 3 incidents in the last couple of years in which one landed in the river - obviously a better choice than landing on the ground. Fortunately, I believe there were fatalities in only one.

But not something I would do for fun.
