Lexington Area - Hotels & Horse Farms?

Jump to last reply

We'll be spending a night or two in Lexington in about a week during road trip to NC & SC. We'll probabably won't have a lot of time for sightseeing, but would love to see 'horse farm' country as my parents will be along and my mother has worked as a teller at a race track for over forty years and my father is a race fan.

Here are my questions:

1. Are there areas that would be better or that we should stay away from when booking a hotel (North, South -Bluegrass Field LEX, Nicholasville, Frankfort)?

2. Any suggestions on sightseeing for the 'horse' experience?

Thanks much!
