My 12-year-old daughter and I are planning a trip, probably late June, to Lexington. She is "horse crazy" and I think will love visiting the horse capital of the world. My thought was to stay at a B&B, preferably on a farm. Anyone know of a good choice?

I travel to Lexington several times a year for business. It is a great city. I have never stayed at a B&B in Lexington The AAA guide book lists The Brand House as a 4 star B&B. I have stayed at the Radisson, Hyatt and The Hilton Suites. All of them are very nice. The Hilton is my favorite. The rooms are very large and it is away from Downtown. The Hilton is next to the Mall and several places to eat. It is also close to the major interstates. While in Lexington, you may aslo want to travel the the Kentucky Horse Park which is less than a thirty minute drive. Also be sure to drive to Louisville to go to Churchill Downs and the Museum at Churchill Downs. Hoefully, either Churchill Downs or Keeneland (Lexington) will be having their summer meets while you are there. If you have time, it is worth the 1 and 1/2 hour drive to Mammoth Cave National Park. It is a very easy drive.
While I have never stayed there, this sounds like it may be just the place for your daughter who is horse crazy.
