The weekend of October 22, I was on the Blue Ridge Parkway as far north as Linville Falls, and there wasn't much color left to see there. Boone and West Jefferson are farther north and at higher elevations. So I think you're probably out of luck.
Thanks for responding hawksbill, I figured I would be too late.
I live near Pilot Mountain and the reports are this weekend is our peak. It is quite gorgeous right now, but we are getting a terrific rain this evening which might change things up a bit.
Homebase will be Concord, hope to drive up on Monday, fingers crossed! Thanks cmc
Went to West Jefferson, beautiful leaves on the way up, a few bare trees, all in all a spectacular show
