Last minute ski trip on Copper Mt.

We have four families (8 adults and 10 kids - 2 yrs - 16yrs) traveling to Co. March 17th - 22nd. We would like a large house or 2 side by side condos. We would like to be as close to Copper Mt. as possible. I have tried searching the web for rentals but of course the prime rentals are not available. We would like to spend bet. 500 - 800 per night. Please let me know if I have missed anything. Thanks!!

As best as I can remember,I don't think there are any "houses" on Copper Mountain. You should be able to get side by side condos there. Can you get a Sunday Denver Post? There might be something there. It is a busy time, but there should be something. Have you telephone the Copper Mountain Resort line? All properties are likely to be in good shape, since most are relatively new.

Lisa, try www.vrbo.com - www.summitnet.com they have a form you fill out with specifics and send to all in the data base and www.skigolfvacations.com

The closest town to Copper, other than the mtn itself, is Frisco. It typically will be less than Copper and it just 5 min away.

gb is right not a lot of single family homes, if any, at Copper.

coskier is right...check out vrbo.com there are several large homes in Frisco that would accomdate your group. Frisco is a great town. It is just one exit away on the highway to Copper. Be careful driving that couple of miles though. Its in the canyon so sometimes icy spots when all other pavement is dry. No biggie though.

Thanks for your responses. We did find a huge home in Copper Mountain at the site www. vrbo. I hope it's as good as it looks!
