Las Vegas to Yosemite

We are going to Vegas in October and would like to go to Yosemite, then return to Vegas, but all the trips appear to go from Vegas to Yosemite, then on to San Francisco. Does anyone know if there are any trips that return to Vegas?
Thank you

You mean a tour? You can drive this yourselves.

I do know there used to be tours from Vegas that included flying to Merced and back to Vegas the same day but they cost a fortune -- not sure if they still operate.

It is not convenient to visit Yosemite while visiting Las Vegas unless you are spending an extended period here.

The dreary route it is 450 miles/8 hours and the scenic route it is 600 miles/11 hours.

Allegiant Airlines flies several days a week from LAS to Fresno (FAT). Rent a car in Fresno and enter Yosemite from the south entrance (Rt. 41).
Why do you want to go back to Las Vegas once you've been there?

Thank you for the replies. It seems like the flight to Fresno is the best option, although we did intend to spend a couple of nights in Yosemite, so may consider the drive.
We have driven all over the USA and now find tours to be our best option as we are now in our 70's.
As for why we want to return to Vegas Tom, we have been to San Fran several times and also the surrounding areas and much easier to fly home from Vegas. Plus, we love it!!!

Have you explored the National Parks closer to Vegas? Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon etc. are much closer and there are tours, even some small group tours that leave from Vegas if you want a bit of nature in all that glitz.

Would it work to fly to San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento first and then go to Yosemite and then go to Las Vegas by air from Fresno?
Take a Pink Jeep tour from Las Vegas out to Valley of Fire.
I did meet some people from a tour while I was in VoF. I was driving a rental car from LV and I finished the day at Hoover Dam before going back to LV.
You can get to Yosemite from Sacramento or Martinez without a rental car by taking the San Joaquin train to Merced and taking the YARTS bus into the Valley.
YARTS also has a bus that runs south to Fresno from Yosemite.

Yes Tom, thats a good idea. The tour also leaves San Francisco then goes to Vegas via overnight in Yosemite. We could fly to SF and could do that tour one way. Then stay in Vegas.
Also we have done the tour from Vegas to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. It was fantastic!
We would certainly recommend tours as an alternative to driving. We use Vegas as a base. Last year we took a tour from Vegas to Yellowstone Park Wyoming, taking in Montana, Dakota, Utah and Idaho. That was also fantastic.
Thanks again!
