Las Vegas Show Advice for Beatles Fan

Hi,

I'll be in Las Vegas with my 12 & 14 year old boys in June and want to take them to a show. My 14 year old is a huge Beatles fan and I had planned to see the LOVE show, but I also saw a Tribute to the Beatles show and am wondering which one would be a better choice. Any advice or feedback?

Also, wondering which hotel would be best for teens. Never been to Vegas so am getting overwhelmed with all the choices. We will only have one day/night in Vegas after a trip to Zion/Bryce-be staying one night before we fly out.

Also, the boys want to see Pawn Stars..ugh.. Is it even possible to go there?!

Thank you!

Been there seen that. http://www.yelp.com/biz/gold-and-sil...shop-las-vegas
Bring lots of money if you really want to buy something.
They plan on getting at least twice what they paid for an item.
I can't tell you which show to see.
There is a zip line under the light show on the Fremont Street Experience. In the Golden Nugget they can see the largest gold nugget on public display. 62+ lb.
Depending on how much time you have, you might want to ride the "Deuce" double decker bus up the "Strip".

3boy, make sure the show is playing on your possible night, if it is a Monday or a Sunday it might be dark.

I have seen both of the shows. As for which is better, it's hard to say. Love is a Cirq show, lots of acrobatics, and a stripped down operatic play, but very entertaining. Loud, rocking music.
The tribute show is impersonaters doing a Beatles concert, with an orchestra as a backup. More cassical, subdued and like a live performance would be. Excellent music, and when we were there the 5,000 audience members all joined in singing Yellow Submarine, I can't say I will ever get that out of my head. I would see both of the shows again.

LOVE hands down if you and the boys have never seen a Cirque du Soleil show. I would suggest purchasing the cheaper seats so you can view the entire performance area. Here is a link to the official Ciqure sight were you buy tickets ahead of time for $60.

I've only seen LOVE. It is more carnival then circus. I'd suggest sitting high as there is a lot of overhead action. Great sound and mix

Regarding hotels, I suggest something in the center-strip area because you will be right in the middle of the action. Linq is well located, and the new High Roller observation wheel is right there as well as the Auto Collections exotic car museum. The hotel is also on the monorail.

We stayed a Flamingo with teens a few years ago and that worked pretty well, too. It is just nice, no matter what age, to be able to walk around and see a lot of different things within a fairly compact area.

We saw Love in April. Oddly, I was disappointed. I was expecting more early Beatles and I didn't follow the storyline.

However, if you have never seen a Cirque show, that alone is pretty amazing.

If you do see it, my advice is to read some background information before you go. We went with friends and the sister of one of them had seen it multiple times. She was able to explain what all the parts signified. I think that hearing that background information before rather than after might have made the show more enjoyable for me.
