Las Vegas McCarran - Duty Free Shop
Can you buy wine at the Liberty Duty Free shop if you are not flying out of the country? Can you buy it upon landing in Las Vegas to take with you to your destination? I know that many duty free shops only allow you to buy if you are leaving the country and delivery it to your gate. I will not be staying in Las Vegas [heading to Utah] and would like to be able to make a purchase to take with me. Thanks~

Haven't flown International through Vegas (did book Virgin once but had to cancel the trip) but I'd assume duty free is only after passport check/security. And even IF it is landside or in a domestic area, one has to show international boarding pass to make purchases.
But not to worry, liquor is probably cheaper in any liquor shop/grocery store than at the airport.

I was looking for convenience, not so much less expensive. I am using a shuttle service to get to destination, which is a pretty remote location and won't be able to get to liquor store (IF there is even one) elsewhere.

If you are driving off from McCarran - there are many grocery/liquor stores nearby or on most routes out of town.
I've never been in an airport where one could buy in duty free w/o a boarding pass for an international flight (or where duty free was isolated and only international passengers were in the area).

> Not sure if there will even be a liquor store [St. George]
A ten-second search at Superpages.com found four liquor stores in Saint George UT; including a state liquor store at 161 North 900 East; ZIP 84770.

Well, okay then. Now I just need to get into town.
Really, it isn't all that big a deal if I bring some wine or not. It was just a thought, that if the duty free was doable, I would. If not, well that's ok too. Thanks all~

If you are flying on a domestic flight you will not have access to the Duty Free Shop. There are no Arrival Duty Free Shops in the USA but there are in many other countries in the world. A list of these is available if you search duty free on arrival on the internet.
