I'm planning to stay in Las Vegas with a couple of friends for 2 nights - is the Treasure Island recommended?

Yes, it is fine. Great location, rooms, pool, etc. Don't miss the water show outside the Bellagio--wow!!

Don't be fooled by the title.
It's a very helpful site.
We just returned from the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. It will always be our first choice from now on! Great ambiance, beautiful room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and the Bellagio wter fountains, the best crepes from La Creperie downstairs --- we were happy campers. Try it!
Is TI "fine"... sure! But what's your budget (and what price did TI quote you) and what days of the week will you be there? You may be able to do better for your money.
I just returned from Vegas. There are so many nice choices in hotels. We stayed at Treasure Island and it is nice mid strip location is great. But if you like the very themed I have to say Paris is just that without being cheesey. Venetian and Mandalay Bay are extremely elegant.
