John, you will have a great time, and 4 nights should be plenty. Be sure to eat at the Rio buffet, it is the best. You will find the cheapest eats downtown Vegas however. Visit Caesar's, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, NYNY...(they have a fun piano bar at night), Monte Carlo brewery...it really depends what you like to do. You can gamble anywhere. Again, the tables downtown seem cheaper. Just go and see the sights and have a great time. Stay out of trouble!

John: Go to lvol.com (Las Vegas Online) for comprehensive reviews of all of the restaurants, shows, buffets, hotels, casinos, etc., from those who have been there. It is a wealth of information! My husband and I are going for the 1st time on July, and have found it immensely helpful. Have a great time, and give us a report when you conme back!

My husband and I got back from Vegas last week and we had the most memorable time ever. You will love it! I didn't think I would like to gamble but I did. We started off at the .25 machines then moved on to the 1.00 ones then after we lost our money we stuck with the nickle machines. Yes we had fun! When I go back I would like to do some day trips through the bus companies and leave the gambling for the nighttime fun. If you enjoy old cars the Imperial Palace has a collection of antique cars with their price tags attached that will amaze you. Just walking around Vegas hotels watching everyone else loose their money was very fun. We saw one lady use a $100.00 slot machine (Yes, they even have $1000.00 machines. One pull she got for $100 and she won $1000.00 but she continued and lost it all. That was really exciting to watch. I hope you love Vegas as much as I did. I just wish I had brought more money. Maybe it was good I did't! Have fun!

Although it's hard to say their prices represent a good deal, I must mention Smith & Wollensky. Their in house dry aged steaks are just outstanding. If our exceptional rib steak is typical, one steak is plenty for two people.

We had fun in LV last summer for two days. Wandering through the Mirage is refreshing on a hot day. The Cirque du Soliel is definitely worth seeing - either of the two shows. Make reservations. Watch the free outdoor Pirate Show at Treasure Island - it's fun. We went to an inexpensive afternoon sleigh of hand magic show that was a lot more enjoyable than the ones where elephants or tigers disappear.
