Las Vegas-Flamingo Pools open in January
I'm pretty sure only 1 of the pools at the Flamingo is open in January but for those that have visited it...is it worth an hour or two of our time?

Even if the pools are closed, the area is beautiful, definitely take a walk!
And look around, there may be a wedding at the chapel.
The arboretum area is great! Pink flamingos and penguins live there, ducks and fish pond.
Yes, the area is worth visiting and worth the time.
And we were there in February, not January, if it makes any difference.

I was just checking out the Flamingo myself last night. Go to the hotel website and take a virtual tour and also look at the overhad photos. Pretty nice. www.cheapovegas.com thinks its about the best pool in town.

Pools are generally not open in January. It's not hot in Vegas that time of year, typically.
But if you've been there and walked around and know what it's like, I'm not really sure I understand your question of whether or not it's worth your time. To do what? What would you expect to be different.
Even if any different pools are open, you cannot use them unless you're staying at the hotel.

Well, the last 3 times I've been to Vegas in late January it was 70 degrees MINIMUM and the pools were HEATED. We dont want to just have a look around-we're actually interested in using the pool. We have no interest in using the pools at other hotels-not sure why that was insinuated.

Nobody insinuated anything. Your question is just not clear, and I was looking for clarification. You're lucky to get 70 degree weather in January, and maybe you will again. Maybe you won't. It's not the norm.
But still, what do you want to know? You've stayed at Flamingo before and used the pools there in January. You want to do it again. I don't understand asking if it's worth your time. Either you want to swim (and therefore it is worth your time) or you don't (and therefore it isn't).
I'm thinking there's something specific you'd like to know about the pools, just not sure what it is. Can you clarify the question, without getting more defensive? I think people really could help if they knew what you wanted to know.

I've not used the pool in January-thats my point. But to be more clear-I want to know WHICH of the Flamingo pools are open in January. Is it just one basic one that we could find anywhere or something a little more special.
