Las Vegas Buffet of Buffets Pass

It seems that the issue may be that the price has changed after doing additional research. Perhaps the pass is no longer a great deal in comparison to other discounts available for these buffets? I also read one blog that complained that the quality of the buffets has decreased, but perhaps only temporarily?

Hey - I have enjoyed some of the Buffets in Vegas (Wynn is as good as they get) but dang - after one of them, I am pretty much done for the day/evening.

My DW and I are happy with the buffet at the Golden Nugget (Fremont St.). If you pay before 3 PM, you get a better deal.

In years past I would really enjoy some of the buffets covered by the pass. However, in more recent times I have noticed that the quality of the buffets have noticeably gone down.

So now if I'm doing a buffet I usually stick to either the one at the Wynn or Bellagio. More expensive, but the quality is much better.

I usually only do one buffet on a trip to Vegas (if at all) - there are so many great restaurants to try I can never get to them all before my trip is done.

The Spice Market buffet at the Planet Hollywood was pretty good - especially for the money - particularly if you go for a lunch special or use one of the discount coupons.

And locals love the lunch buffet at New Orleans, but you have to get there before they open as there is usually a line, and sometimes the tour buses pull in there.


Also - they used to have super 11 PM to 7 AM specials down toward the other end of the strip - away from downtown - at the South Point casino - and it was a fairly decent Steak and eggs, for $1.99 a couple of years ago - anyway.

The ole Barbary Coast used to also have a good prime rib special - and also a 11 PM to 7 am type steak and eggs, but since Harrah's bought them out - not sure the deals are as good. And early on - the old San Remo - now Hooters - carried on that very nice Prime Rib tradition, very inexpensive and good quality - but not sure if they are still doing that.

And downtown - forget which one - but we went to a comdey show last November? - (toward the far end of the Lazer roof/Fremont experience - on the left side) - and they had a very acceptable Prime Rib dinner, and my wife is fairly picky about her Prime Rib and gave this good marks, especially for the price - under $10 as I recall.

You can find good dining deals in Vegas now - if you scout around.

And yes, the breakfast buffet at Paris was also a favorite - naturally with a French theme - and they even made Crepes to order, which outside in the hallway stand - cost just about as much as the buffet breakfast.

We would time it just as the Breakfast buffet was ending, and they would transition into lunch - and you could have more offerings, but one had to pace oneself.

The deserts alone were worth a separate sitting.

And they used to carve small roast beef sandwiches - gratis in the Champagne bar - also in the hallway - during happy hour - but don't do that any more. It was very good quality - and they had good deals on glasses of Champagne/wine. They still have a nice little wine shop in that hallway if you want to find something for a pre-dinner quaff in the room.
